Stoked To Introduce: Jo Zervas

Welcome to our little community. Every now and then we’ll be introducing another favourite person from our community to YOU. Meet people we hang out with and love to be around and find that personal trainer/next coffee date venue/blogger that you can learn to love and make part of your friendship circle. (We obviously only associate with amazing people donchu know) So stay tuned……who knows who’ll you meet next.

Qualification: Exercise Physiologist

Business/Location: Also trains clients out of Peak Body in North Beach and Foundry Fitness in Karrinyup.

Facebook/Instagram: @balancedpostureonline

Jo reveals a bit about herself…..

Name: Joanna Zervas

Age: 35 (but feels like 25)

Some of my favourite things: Snowboarding back in Canada, cold beer on a sunny afternoon, and pineapple on pizza.

Most common misconception about your job: "oh you're a trainer, what's the best way to lose my gut" UUGGGHHHH Please never ask me this at a party.”

Favourite injury to treat/deal with: frozen shoulder and shoulder impingement, I've had a lot of clients with this and I've helped most of them return to full rain, pain-free motion.

Favourite piece of advice: The Site of Pain may not be the Source of Pain. Your knee might hurt, but it's most likely not your knee that's the problem.

Place you’re most likely to be found when not at work: Hiding behind my laptop at a nearby cafe.

Why we love her: Not the average trainer. Jo is a great ally that we can send clients to and know they’re in great hands, not being rushed and someone who is ALWAYS training clients with correct biomechanics and posture in mind. Don’t judge her by her lawn-bowling ability.*

*(Jo may be in an opposing team in our weekly lawn bowls competition. She may have beaten us by a fair margin last week. We’re ok. We’ve moved on)
